Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking Specialist Teachers to provide one-to-one support for SEND learners across SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD, in home or community settings. The role allows in-person, online, or hybrid delivery, with rolling interviews as applications arrive.

Candidates should have 2+ years post-NQT teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, and a trauma-informed, child-centered approach. DBS and references are required. Work is self-employed with flexible scheduling to fit client needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS) is required.
• Holistic, trauma-informed teaching approach to support vulnerable learners.
• Enhanced DBS and two professional references are requested.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with diverse needs.
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan and report lessons with regular progress updates.
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and maintain a safe learning environment.
