Job summary

SENse Learning is recruiting Specialist Teachers to provide one-to-one support for SEND learners. You will deliver in-person, online, and hybrid sessions, using creative, student-centred methods to engage young people with SEMH, MLD, SLD and PMLD.

You will work within UK-based conditions, building strong relationships with learners, carers and schools. The role includes planning, reporting, and delivering flexible tutoring to fit EHCPs and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years post-NQT teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD needs
• QTS or QTLS qualification required
• Holistic, trauma-informed approach to learning
• Enhanced DBS and two professional references preferred

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with children and young people with diverse needs.
• Deliver in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring to SEMH/SEND learners (KS1–KS5).
• Plan and deliver flexible, trauma-informed lessons; tailor to EHCP and risk assessments.
• Provide regular feedback on student progress to carers, schools and authorities.
