Job summary

Pudsey Grammar School in Pudsey, England, is seeking a Specialist Teacher of SEND to lead SEND provision and work with the Assistant Headteacher for SEND and Inclusion. The post offers opportunities to develop SENCO skills, lead curriculum and case management, and contribute to strategic SEND leadership.

You will maintain records, coordinate interventions, monitor progress, liaise with external agencies, support families and the Student Support Team, and help ensure safeguarding and Every Child

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Appropriate qualifications and/or relevant experience with young people.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students with SEND.
• Coordinate scheduling of interventions, meetings and assessments.
• Monitor and track student progress and document outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and records.
• Liaise with external agencies and work with families and the community.
• Provide support to the wider Student Support Team.
• Ensure all components of Every Child Matters are met across subjects.
