Job summary

PK Education is supporting a SEND school in Coventry to recruit a proactive SEN Teaching Assistant who can help pupils thrive academically and personally across the curriculum.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, deliver targeted interventions, and support behaviour management in a positive learning environment. The role is term-time only, 8:30am–3:30pm, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • A Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree.
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and meaningful learning alongside the class teacher.
  • Support reading, writing, and general classwork with pupils.
  • Lead and deliver targeted interventions to support development.
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to provide personalised support.

  • Observe pupils and contribute to learning records.
  • Develop curriculum knowledge as the school grows.
