Job summary

PK Education in Birmingham is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support learners in a SEND school. The role runs 8:30am–3:30pm, term time only, starting ASAP for the academic year.

You will work closely with the teacher to foster a safe, inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive. Responsibilities include 1:1 and small-group support, targeted interventions, behaviour management, and maintaining learning records.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Desirable: TA qualification or relevant degree.
  • Desirable: passion for inclusive education.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and meaningful learning with the class teacher.
  • Support pupils with reading, writing and classwork.
  • Lead targeted interventions to support development.
