Job summary

Academics is recruiting for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs in a Warrington primary school from September. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and school team to support learning, social development and wellbeing throughout the day.

This role may include personal care duties; a Level 2 TA qualification and experience with SEND are essential, as well as a safeguarding-focused approach and ability to work

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting children, ideally in a Primary School setting.
• Experience working with pupils with SEND.
• Strong safeguarding awareness and ability to follow school procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs.
• Support pupil's learning, communication, social development and emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate with the class teacher, SENDCo and school team to implement support plans.
• Provide personal care where required in line with pupil needs and safety procedures.
