Job summary

The Education Network is seeking a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant in Birmingham for the 2026/27 academic year. You will provide 1-2-1 support to children with SEND and help deliver targeted activities alongside the class teacher.

Ideal candidates are recent psychology graduates with a genuine interest in SEND. Training and ongoing support are provided; previous youth work is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Recent Psychology Graduate with an interest in SEND
• Willingness to engage with children with additional learning needs
• Able to work closely with teachers and support staff

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-2-1 support to children with special educational needs
• Assist with whole-class activities and group tasks under the teacher's guidance
• Support students with communication impairments and autism spectrum needs
