Job summary

The Education Network is seeking a SEN EYFS Teaching Assistant in Birmingham to support two children with significant physical and medical needs. You will provide individualised support to help them access learning and participate in school life, including mobility, communication and personal care tasks.

Ideal candidates hold a 2:2 in Psychology or related field, have SEND experience, and are calm, patient and reliable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 degree (ideally Psychology)
• Experience working with children, ideally SEND/care settings
• Confidence supporting personal care, mobility and communication
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS
• Moving and handling experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Support two EYFS children with physical and medical needs throughout the school day
• Assist mobility, communication, personal care and toileting as directed
• Deliver physical programmes under guidance from teachers/therapists
• Monitor fatigue, adapt activities, and promote confidence and independence
