The Education Network seeks a Psychology graduate to join as a SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant in Smethwick. You will support children with autism, ADHD and EBD, helping them access lessons and reach learning goals in a primary school setting.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, applying behavioural strategies and using visual schedules to aid concentration and emotional development. This role builds experience for careers in Educational Psychology or SEN support.

Competenze

• Degree with 2:2 or above in Psychology, Educational Psychology or related discipline.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Enhanced DBS with children's barred list check.
• SEN knowledge including autism, ADHD and SEMH.
• Personal qualities: patience, resilience and calm handling of challenging situations.
• Relevant experience in SEN support or mentoring is desirable but not essential.

Mansioni

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
• Implement positive behaviour strategies to support pupils with emotional or behavioural difficulties.
• Help pupils with ADHD develop concentration, organisation and task completion strategies.
• Support pupils with autism using visual schedules and clear instructions.
• Deliver structured activities to develop emotional awareness and social skills.
• Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to follow support plans, manage transitions and monitor progress.
