Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Nurture Teacher for a SEND school in Bromley. The role focuses on personalised learning to support pupils with ASC, SEMH, ADHD and other needs, promoting social, emotional and academic development in a safe, nurturing environment.

You will plan differentiated lessons, build strong relationships with pupils and families, and work with therapists and leaders to plan targeted support.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS/QTLS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience in SEND, Alternative Provision, specialist settings or mainstream with additional needs preferred.
• Demonstrates a nurturing, trauma-informed approach to teaching.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes emotional wellbeing.
• Develop positive relationships with pupils, families and professionals.
• Support pupils in developing confidence, resilience and social skills.
• Implement behaviour support strategies and nurture principles throughout the day.
• Monitor and track pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches as required.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and senior leaders.
