Job summary

Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a Nurture Teacher in a dedicated SEND school. This full-time, permanent role supports pupils with autism, SEMH, ADHD, and complex learning needs, providing personalised learning in a safe, nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS/QTLS, have SEND experience, and bring a trauma-informed, patient approach with strong behaviour management. You will collaborate with staff to track progress and promote positive outcomes for vulnerable learners.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience in SEND, Alternative Provision or with additional needs.
• Nurturing, trauma-informed teaching approach.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support.
• Patient, resilient and supportive of vulnerable learners.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for individual pupil needs.
• Create an inclusive learning environment promoting wellbeing.
• Develop relationships with pupils, families and multidisciplinary staff.
• Support development of confidence, resilience and social skills.
• Implement behaviour support and nurture principles throughout the day.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching as required.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and senior leaders.
