Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Nurture Teacher for a full-time, permanent position in a SEND setting in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on personalised learning to support pupils with ASC, SEMH, ADHD, and complex needs, developing social, emotional and academic skills.

You will plan differentiated lessons, promote emotional wellbeing, and work with families and multidisciplinary teams to foster confidence and resilience in vulnerable learners, within a nurturing school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils with SEND, Alternative Provision, or specialist settings.
• Trauma-informed approach to teaching and strong classroom management.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for individual pupil needs.
• Create an inclusive environment that supports emotional wellbeing.
• Develop positive relationships with pupils, families and multidisciplinary staff.
• Support pupils in building confidence, resilience and social skills.
• Implement behaviour support strategies and nurture principles throughout the day.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching approaches as needed.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and senior leaders.
