Job summary

Forge Valley School in Sheffield is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join the Integrated Resource/SEND Specialist. You will work with pupils who have autism and communication difficulties, supporting access to mainstream lessons with enhanced TA support.

The role requires delivering interventions, building positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff, and contributing to safeguarding and inclusive practice. This is a full-time, term-time position based at Forge Valley School.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Ability to deliver small group and individual interventions.
• Strong Numeracy and Literacy skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• work effectively with subject teachers in lessons to enable pupils to access learning and make good progress
• deliver high-quality interventions for both small groups and individuals
• develop positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff showing care, patience, empathy and encouragement
• maintain the safety of our pupils and contribute to safeguarding procedures
• be flexible and able to adapt to changing situations and learn new skills
