Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in Hexham is seeking a SEND Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex needs at a primary school. The role is long-term with ASAP start, including 1:1 and small group interventions across the primary age range, adapting activities to meet individual needs and supporting emotional development.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent, have SEND experience, strong behaviour management and patience.

Qualifications

• Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent is required.
• Experience supporting children with complex SEND is essential.
• Experience delivering 1:1 support and small group interventions is desired.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills are important.

Responsibilities

• Provide a mix of 1:1 support, small group interventions and classroom support across the primary age range.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and support pupils' development.
• Work closely with teaching staff to support academic, social and emotional development.
