Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a Primary School in Middlesbrough to appoint a dedicated SEND Level 3 Teaching Assistant on a long-term, temporary basis, ASAP start. You will provide 1:1 support, small group interventions and classroom assistance across the primary age range.

The role requires experience with complex SEND, strong behaviour management, patience and resilience, and the ability to adapt activities to meet individual needs while collaborating with teaching staff.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with complex SEND.
• Experience providing 1:1 support and delivering small group interventions.
• Understanding of complex additional needs and how these can impact learning and development.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide mixture of 1:1 support, small group interventions and classroom support across the primary age range.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Work closely with teaching staff to support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
