Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a long-term role in Hartlepool. The position involves 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND, across KS1 and KS2, helping them engage with learning and access the curriculum. A patient, resilient and adaptable approach, plus strong teamwork, are essential.

The school setting requires consistent, supportive assistance to pupils with a range of complex needs and is funded through PAYE with competitive daily rates.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children with SEND and complex needs.
• Experience working across KS1 and KS2.
• Experience providing 1:1 and small group support.
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils.
• Help pupils engage with learning and access the curriculum.
• Support pupils across KS1 and KS2 as needed.
