Job summary

Senploy is seeking an enthusiastic Additional Needs Learning Support Practitioner to join an educational setting in Truro. You’ll support pupils with additional needs, helping them participate in learning while developing skills for life beyond the classroom.

Your role is flexible and individualised, with opportunities to work full-time or part-time. DBS update service is preferred or willing to obtain one. The role offers a rewarding path in education and development for young people.

Qualifications

• Experience in education, SEND, childcare, care work, youth services or another supportive role.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small-group learning support.
• Help pupils understand and complete classroom activities.
• Develop communication, social and practical skills.
• Encourage independence and personal responsibility.
• Support emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour.
• Adapt learning activities to suit individual abilities.
• Support pupils with routines and transitions.
• Work alongside teachers and other education professionals.
• Recognise progress and celebrate individual achievements.
