Job summary

Childwall Sports & Science Academy in Liverpool is seeking a caring SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. This rewarding role involves supporting students with SEND, including Autism/ASC, to access learning and achieve EHCP outcomes.

You will work closely with teachers and the SEND team, delivering interventions, promoting positive behaviour and supporting students one-to-one, in small groups and in class, with coaching and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEND, particularly Autism/ASC.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Committed to inclusion and helping every student reach potential.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive school team.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEND, including pupils with Autism/ASC, to access learning.
• Deliver targeted interventions and promote positive behaviour in class and in small groups.
• Support students on a one-to-one, small-group and classroom basis alongside teachers.
• Work closely with the SEND team to enable EHCP outcomes and progression.
