Job summary

Childwall Sports and Science Academy is seeking a caring, committed SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our team. You will support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including Autism/ASC, helping them access learning and achieve EHCP outcomes.

You will work closely with teachers and the SEND team, delivering interventions and promoting positive behaviour, supporting students on a one-to-one, small-group and classroom basis.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEND, particularly Autism/ASC.
• GCSEs in English and Maths.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Committed to inclusion and helping every student achieve their potential.
• Able to work collaboratively within a supportive school team.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEND to access learning and achieve EHCP outcomes.

This rewarding role involves supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including pupils with Autism/ASC, helping them to access learning, achieve their EHCP outcomes and thrive both academically and personally. You will work closely with teachers and the SEND team, delivering interventions, promoting positive behaviour and supporting students on a one-to-one, small-group and classroom basis.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting students with SEND, particularly Autism/ASC.
• Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Is committed to inclusion and helping every student achieve their potential.
• Can work collaboratively as part of a supportive school team.
