Special Educational Needs in Guildford is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to support students with Autism, SEMH and other barriers to learning in a therapeutic education setting.

SEN Learning Support Assistant

We are recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist therapeutic education setting supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism, SEMH and other barriers to learning. The Role

As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support students both academically and emotionally. You will help to create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment where every student feels understood, supported and encouraged to succeed.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting children and young people with Autism, SEMH needs and other additional learning needs
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support
  • Helping students to access personalised learning programmes
  • Supporting emotional regulation, wellbeing and positive behaviour
