Job summary

SENse Learning is recruiting Intervention Tutors to deliver one-to-one, bespoke support for SEND learners across in-person, hybrid, and remote formats. Roles cover SEND Tutor, Specialist Teacher, and SEND Teacher across KS1–KS5, with flexible scheduling and a focus on holistic, trauma-informed tutoring.

Competitive pay (£35-£45 per hour) and ongoing pastoral support accompany a self-employed employment status; all applicants are welcomed and interviews are arranged as applications are received.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way.
• QTS/QTLS required.
• Ability to work in a child-centred, holistic way with creative curriculum adaptation.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring tailored to EHCPs and risk assessments.
• Plan and report for lessons with regular feedback on progress.
• Operate as a self-employed tutor, with DBS facilitation if needed.
