Job summary

SENse Learning is hiring Specialist Teachers to provide one-to-one support to SEND learners in the UK. Roles include SEND Tutor, Intervention Tutor, and Specialist Teacher across in-person, hybrid, and remote settings.

You will engage with young people in education, deliver trauma-informed tutoring, and tailor sessions to EHCP plans and risk assessments, while reporting progress and maintaining safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is required.
• Ability to work in a child-centred, holistic manner with creativity to adapt curriculum.
• Enhanced DBS clearance and 2+ professional references are expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with diverse needs.
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan lessons and report on student progress with regular feedback.
