Job summary

Stradbroke High School in Eye invites applications for a SEND Intervention Lead. The successful candidate will mainly work with small groups outside the classroom, delivering tailored interventions and providing individualised support, while also supporting in class when required.

The SEND Department plays a crucial role in student progress; experience with ASDAN, Life Skills or similar is welcome, and a commitment to wider opportunities such as trips is advantageous.

Location: Stradbroke High School, Stradbroke, Eye IP21 5JN

Salary: SCP7 A GBP 26,403 : SCP11 A GBP 28,142 per annum. Salary Pro Rata: A GBP 19,173 : A GBP 20,799 per annum

Vacancy Type: Permanent, 31.25 hours per week, Term Time plus 1 week

The Role

The school caters for students of all abilities from its local community, including those with SEND. The successful candidate would mainly work with small groups outside the classroom delivering tailored interventions and individualised support though would also support in the classroom as required. They would be responsible for the planning and monitoring of the interventions.

The SEND Department plays a crucial role in the success of students and therefore a commitment to wider opportunities such as attending trips or being a first aider would be an advantage.

• Some experience of delivering ASDAN, Life Skills or similar non GCSE qualifications
• Experience of supporting small groups of students in lessons and/or one to one work
• Achieved GCSE or equivalent in both English and maths at grade C/4 or above
