Job summary

American Marketing Association is seeking Inclusive Learning Pathway Support staff to work in one of our partner SEND schools in Northumberland. The role supports children with autism, speech and language difficulties, developmental delay, and complex communication needs, helping them access learning through tailored strategies and a nurturing environment.

Hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. You will collaborate with teachers, therapists, SENCOs and pastoral teams to provide consistent

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people, ideally within SEND, Autism, SLCN, or complex needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to support non-verbal communication.
  • The ability to provide two recent references (work-based or educational).
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting emotional regulation and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to pupils within the Inclusive Learning Pathway, both in and out of the classroom
  • Support children with Autism, speech and language needs, and developmental delays to access learning
  • Support pupils during sensory-based learning, therapeutic sessions, outdoor learning, and Forest School activities
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, SLT, and on-site therapists to ensure consistent, holistic support
  • Contribute to pastoral care, helping pupils feel safe, regulated, and ready to learn
