Job summary

Just Teachers Ltd is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND in a North Lincoln school. The role is full-time from September, delivering targeted help to learners with ASD, SEMH and learning difficulties.

You will work alongside staff to adapt lessons, use visual supports, and promote independent learning in small groups or 1:1 settings, fostering inclusive practice and pupil progression.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND across educational or care settings.
• Strong understanding of SEND including ASD, SEMH or mild/moderate learning difficulties.
• Confidence adapting learning approaches and delivering targeted support in small groups or 1:1.

Responsibilities

• Support differentiated and accessible lessons by working with teaching staff to adapt learning for SEND needs.
• Reinforce concepts and help pupils engage with the curriculum.
• Use structured strategies and visual supports to promote participation and independence.
• Encourage positive learning behaviours and help pupils regulate emotions to return to learning.
