Job summary

Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School is seeking a dedicated teacher to lead the SEND Support Base and provide high-quality provision for students with a range of SEND needs. You will create a positive, inclusive and trauma-informed learning environment across key stages.

We welcome applicants who have experience in mainstream or specialist settings, with a strong commitment to removing barriers to learning and building positive relationships with families and colleagues.

• Experience working with students with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SEND Support Base and provide high-quality provision for students with additional needs.
• Create an inclusive, trauma-informed learning environment.
• Deliver engaging teaching across the curriculum, including provision aligned to KS2 attainment levels.
• Support students working towards Functional Skills qualifications and vocational pathways.
• Collaborate with the SENCO, support staff, families and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the support they need to achieve their potential.
• Lead, coach and direct support staff within the SEND Support Base, promoting best practice in adaptive teaching and behaviour support.
