Job summary

Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School invites applications for a dedicated SEND-focused teaching role. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, personalised teaching and support for students with SEND, helping them build confidence, independence and academic and personal skills.

Qualifications

• Experience of teaching and supporting students with SEND.
• Commitment to inclusive education and removing barriers to learning.
• Outstanding classroom practice with strong behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and adapted teaching across the curriculum, including provision aligned to Key Stage 2 attainment levels.
• Support students working towards Functional Skills qualifications and vocational pathways.
• Work closely with the SENCO, support staff, families and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the support they need to achieve their potential.
• Lead, coach and direct support staff within the SEND Support Base, promoting best practice in adaptive teaching and behaviour support.
• Has experience of teaching and supporting students with SEND.
