Job summary

Supply Desk is recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND provision within a thriving secondary school in the New Forest. You’ll support students across KS3 and KS4, helping them access learning, develop confidence and make progress both academically and personally.

This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for an experienced HLTA, TA or SEND professional, with responsibilities including delivering interventions, supporting diverse needs and promoting engagement.

Qualifications

• HLTA or CACHE Level 3 or relevant Education qualification.
• Experience supporting students with SEND.
• Confident supporting academic, social and emotional needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, flexible and resilient.
• Secondary school experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivering small-group interventions.
• Supporting students with a range of SEND needs.
• Adapting resources and activities.
• Supporting students to access the curriculum.
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement.
• Monitoring progress and contributing to records.
• Working closely with teachers and SEND staff.
• Building strong, positive relationships with students.
