Job summary

Supply Desk is recruiting a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the SEND provision at a secondary school in the New Forest from September 2026.

You will deliver targeted interventions, support KS3–KS4 students with additional needs, adapt resources, and work closely with teachers, SEND staff and external professionals to help pupils access the curriculum.

Qualifications

• HLTA or CACHE Level 3 or relevant Education degree.
• Experience supporting students with SEND.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions and small-group learning sessions within the SEND provision.
• Support students across KS3 and KS4 with additional needs.
• Adapt resources and learning activities to meet individual student needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEND staff and external professionals.
• Provide classroom support to ensure access to the curriculum.
• Assist with monitoring progress and maintaining records.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Build strong relationships with students, staff and families.
