Job summary

Luma Education Recruitment is partnering with a leading Alternative Provision in Leicester to recruit a SEND Functional Skills Tutor for a flexible ongoing part-time role. You will deliver Functional Skills Maths and English from Entry Level 1 to Level 2 to learners with SEND, SEMH and additional needs, tailoring lessons to EHCP outcomes and promoting independence and progression.

The role offers 3–5 hours per day with flexible hours, ongoing opportunities, DBS checks, and dedicated consultant

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Functional Skills Maths and English to learners with SEND.
• Experience working with SEND, SEMH, autism or additional needs.
• Able to adapt lessons to EHCP outcomes and individual abilities.
• Strong classroom management and safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills Maths and English from Entry Level 1 to Level 2.
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet SEND needs and EHCP outcomes.
• Support learners with SEND, SEMH, autism or additional needs.
• Create engaging, inclusive and supportive learning environments.

SEND Functional Skills Tutor - Part-Time

Luma Education Recruitment is working with a leading Alternative Provision in Leicester, Leicestershire to recruit a SEND Functional Skills Tutor for an exciting, flexible ongoing opportunity.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Functional Skills Maths and English Tutor who enjoys working with young people with SEND, SEMH, autism, learning difficulties and additional needs.

The role offers 3-5 hours of teaching per day, with flexibility around availability, making it ideal for tutors looking for a part-time or ongoing role within a specialist Alternative Provision setting.

You will deliver engaging and accessible Functional Skills Maths and English sessions to learners from Entry Level 1 through to Level 2, adapting your teaching to individual abilities, learning needs and EHCP outcomes.

You will help learners develop essential literacy, numeracy, employability, confidence and independence skills, supporting their progression towards further education, employment and adulthood.
