Job summary

• Background in SEN, alternative provision, FE or post-16 education.
• Strong, flexible pedagogy; ability to adapt without needing to be a subject specialist.

SEN Functional Skills Teacher - Market Rasen (LN8) Location: Market Rasen, Lincolnshire (LN8) Pay: £180 - £230 per day Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, term time only Contract: Temp to perm Start date: From 9 November 2026 Essential: QTS or QTLS

A specialist provision in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire is looking for a qualified SEN Functional Skills Teacher to deliver English and maths to a small group of KS4 and post-16 learners. Most are working at Entry Level 1 or 2 and have not got on with a conventional school timetable, so the job is about finding practical, relevant ways into literacy and numeracy. You will have ready-made schemes and online platforms to draw on. The post is temp to perm and term-time only (Lincolnshire County calendar), with a start from 9 November 2026.

About the Setting

A small rural school within a larger group of SEND schools, currently building up its KS4 and post-16 numbers. Class sizes are very small, and learners often split their week between school and vocational placements.
