Job summary

Sense College Rothwell is hiring an Education Support Worker to help learners develop skills, independence and confidence for adulthood. The role is part-time (14 hours/week) during term time, with a one-year fixed-term contract and salary of £14 per hour.

You will support learners with EHCPs, contribute to learner reviews, and assist with dressing and personal care as needed in a caring, SEND-focused environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at level or equivalent required.
• Willingness to work towards Level 3 teaching support qualification.
• Positive attitude towards working with people with SEND.
• Understanding of Ofsted Education Inspection Framework.
• Understanding of person-centred planning and EHCPs.
• Ability to maintain clear and accurate records.
• Ability to support learners with dressing and personal care.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support learners to develop skills, independence and confidence as they prepare for adulthood.
• Contribute to EHCPs and learner reviews; maintain records and support person-centred plans.
• Support teaching and learning with inclusive approaches and adapt activities for accessibility.
• Help learners participate in educational activities and develop communication and daily living skills.
• Assist with dressing and personal care as required.
• Work with education colleagues to build positive relationships and monitor progress.
