Job summary

Could you be an Education Support Worker?

Sense College Peterborough is looking for an Education Support Worker to help learners develop skills, independence and confidence as they prepare for adulthood.

This permanent, part-time role runs 21 hours per week across three days, 9:15am–4:15pm, for 39 weeks per year, with a salary of £14 per hour. You will support EHCP outcomes and promote inclusive learning.

Qualifications

• A good level of general education, including literacy and numeracy to Level 2.
• Willingness to work towards a Level 3 teaching support qualification.
• Positive attitude toward working with SEND.
• Understanding of Ofsted Education Inspection Framework.
• Ability to contribute to person-centred planning and EHCP monitoring.
• Ability to maintain clear and accurate records.
• Ability to support learners with dressing and personal care.

Responsibilities

• Support learners with activities, communication and daily living skills.
• Contribute to learner reviews and education team meetings.
• Develop and monitor person-centred plans and EHCPs.
• Promote inclusive teaching and remove barriers to learning.
• Lead on maintaining accurate records and prepare for adulthood.
