Job summary
Sense College in Knapwell near Cambridge is seeking Education Sense Support Workers on fixed-term contracts until July 2027. You will support learners with a person-centred education programme, developing communication and independent living skills using the Sense Curriculum Framework to plan individual targets and outcomes aligned with EHCPs.
The role involves personal care as required, working Monday to Friday, 9:15-16:15, with 39 teaching weeks per year and possible overtime.
Qualifications
- Experience with sensory impairment, autism or learning disability is advantageous; training provided.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and use personal initiative; keep records up to date and provide personal care.
- Level 2 English and Maths is essential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare learners for transitions into adulthood.
- Support learners in education activities using a person-centred approach.
- Plan targets and objectives with the Sense Curriculum Framework.
- Work with learners to achieve outcomes of Education, Health and Care Plans.
- Maintain safeguarding and promote wellbeing in daily activities.
