Job summary

Sense is seeking two Education Support Workers to join our college in Dereham, working 28 hours per week on a part-time permanent basis, Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 9:15am - 4:15am. You will prepare learners for transitions into adulthood and work closely with them to meet their Education, Health and Care Plans.

You will work within the Sense Values to keep learners at the centre, help them influence services, and contribute to a high-quality education experience, including personal care as

Qualifications

• Experience with people who have sensory impairments, autism or learning disabilities is advantageous.
• Knowledge of BSL, Makaton or alternative communication methods is preferred, training provided.
• Ability to work well in a team and use own initiative.
• Experience with person-centred planning, keeping records up to date and providing personal care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare learners for transitions into adulthood and assist with EHCP outcomes.
• Support learners to influence services and ensure high-quality education.
• Assist with personal care as required by the role.
• Work within Sense values to deliver inclusive, person-centred education.
