Job summary

Woodlands School in Esher is seeking a SEND Class Teacher for its satellite provision at Cranmere Primary School. The role is full time, fixed-term for one year from 1 September 2026, with occasional travel to Leatherhead and East Surrey.

The salary range is £34,398–£52,490 with SEN allowance, plus generous benefits. The post involves delivering the curriculum for pupils with autism and learning difficulties, tracking progress and reporting outcomes, and working closely with the SENCo and

  • Ability to plan and adapt lessons to meet individual needs and SEN Support, in collaboration with SENCo.
  • Commitment to pupil progress and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the curriculum appropriate to age and ability, creating materials and pastoral arrangements.
  • Be accountable for attainment, progress and outcomes of pupils in the class; monitor and plan for potential.
  • Collaborate with SENCo to implement SEN Support Arrangements and review progress.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability of the individuals and classes you teach, preparing and developing teaching materials, programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate
  • Be accountable for the attainment, progress and outcomes of all pupils within your class/es, planning effectively to ensure that pupils have the opportunity to meet their potential
  • Be aware of pupils’ capabilities, planning effectively to meet the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and work in collaboration with the SENCo to make an appropriate contribution to and participate in the preparation, implementation, monitoring and review of SEN Support Arrangements
