Job summary

Ashley Park School, part of Outcomes First Group, seeks a SEN Teacher at Walton-on-Thames to support pupils with complex communication needs and autism. You will plan engaging lessons, build relationships, and help learners reach their potential in a nurturing, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

  • Create an inclusive classroom where every achievement is recognised and celebrated.
  • Develop and review personalised learning plans, including IEPs and behaviour support strategies.
  • Monitor progress, identify next steps and celebrate every milestone.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, families and external professionals to provide exceptional support.
  • Promote positive behaviour through consistency, understanding and high expectations.
  • Safeguard the wellbeing of every pupil and help create a nurturing learning environment.

Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: Ashley Park School, Walton-on-Thames, KT12 1LE

Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum, depending on experience (not pro rata)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

Start: January 2027

Ashley Park School is located in the market town on the south bank of the Thames in the borough of Surrey, within the Greater London built-up area. The school is accessible via a range of transport routes. The specialist school caters for young people with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs.

The school’s aim is to provide a structured, nurturing approach, enabling pupils to access a broad, balanced, engaging and rich curriculum.
