Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD is seeking a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil at a welcoming primary school in Prenton. The role runs long-term until July 2027, with hours Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, starting Monday 12th October.

You will collaborate with the class teacher and school staff to support learning, communication and daily school life, bringing a calm, nurturing approach to help the pupil progress and feel secure in class.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting.
• Proven ability to provide 1:1 support effectively.
• Calm, patient, nurturing approach to learning and behaviour.
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to the pupil throughout the school day.
• Support learning, confidence, communication and day-to-day classroom routines.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider school staff to monitor progress.
• Maintain a positive and consistent presence to support long-term development.

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a caring and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a pupil at a welcoming primary school in Prenton.

This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and wants to become a consistent and valued member of a school team.

You will work closely with the class teacher and wider school staff to support the pupil with their learning, confidence, communication and day-to-day experience in school.
