Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment Ltd in Birkenhead is seeking a caring, experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a 1:1 role at a welcoming primary school in Prenton. Start date Monday 12th October; contract is long-term until July 2027; hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm.

You will work closely with the class teacher to support the pupil's learning, confidence and communication, building strong relationships and contributing to day-to-day school life.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Confident providing focused 1:1 support.
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils.
• Consistent, reliable and proactive approach.
• Genuine passion for helping children progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil as part of daily lessons.
• Work with the class teacher and school staff to support learning.
• Support pupil confidence, communication and daily school experience.
