Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with SEND at a welcoming primary school in Prenton, Wirral. The role is full-time and long-term, paying 95–110 per day depending on qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will provide consistent support throughout the school day, helping the pupil access learning, develop confidence and build independence. The role runs until December 2026 with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Previous SEND experience is desirable, but relevant experience working with children will also be considered.

• Supporting access to the curriculum
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo
• Supporting the pupil's social and emotional development

Job description

Location: Prenton, Wirral
Start Date: Monday 21st September 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term until July 2027
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Pay: 95- 110 per day - Depending on qualifications & experience
