Job summary

Teach Midlands seeks an experienced SENCO to lead and coordinate SEND provision, support with Phonics in KS1 and provide cover across the school. You will work with staff, parents and external agencies to implement inclusive practices and improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience working with pupils with SEND
• Holds or is willing to work towards the NPQ for SENCO

• Demonstrates strong leadership and organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision and policy
• Coordinate the identification, assessment, and support of pupils with SEND
• Monitor and evaluate pupil progress and impact of interventions
• Work collaboratively with teachers to ensure inclusive classroom practice

• Oversee EHCP processes, reviews, and documentation

Job description

We are looking to appoint an experienced, passionate and dedicated SENCO to lead and coordinate provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), support with Phonics in KS1 and provide cover support across the school at Warwick Academy.

This is a key role within the school, responsible for ensuring that all pupils with SEND receive high-quality support and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement inclusive practices across the school.

SENCOs play a vital role in shaping SEND strategy and improving outcomes for pupils, often working as part of the senior leadership team

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision and policy
• Coordinate the identification, assessment, and support of pupils with SEND
• Monitor and evaluate pupil progress and impact of interventions
• Work collaboratively with teachers to ensure inclusive classroom practice
• Provide guidance, training, and support to staff on SEND strategies
