Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Brierley Hill, Dudley, to recruit a SENCO for a full-time, temporary placement commencing between November and December 2026. The role focuses on coordinating SEND provision and SEMH support within a supportive SLT environment.

The ideal candidate will have QTS, a SENCO qualification (NASENCO or NPQ), and solid experience leading SEND, EHCPs and annual reviews for primary pupils with SEMH and complex needs.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required in the UK.
• SENCO qualification (NASENCO or NPQ for SENCOs) preferred.
• Substantial SENCO leadership experience in primary settings is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the primary school.
• Support SEMH provision and manage EHCPs and annual reviews.
• Collaborate with SLT, teaching and support staff to drive SEND outcomes.
• Liaise with parents, local authorities and external agencies.
• Ensure SEND documentation and processes are compliant and up-to-date.
