Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming Primary School in Brierley Hill, Dudley, to recruit a SENCO for a full-time, short-term placement starting between November and December 2026. The role is based on-site at a school with a dedicated SEMH Unit and a commitment to inclusive education.

The successful candidate will lead SEND provision, manage EHCPs and annual reviews, and work closely with SLT and external professionals to support pupils with SEMH and complex needs while promoting

Qualifications

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• SENCO qualification (NASENCO or NPQ for SENCOs) preferred.
• Experience leading SEND in a primary setting and knowledge of SEND Code of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the primary school.
• Oversee EHCPs, annual reviews and support plans.
• Collaborate with SLT, staff and external agencies.
• Promote inclusive practice and safeguarding.
