Job summary

Supply Desk in Watford is seeking a dedicated SENCO to join a welcoming school starting this September. The role entails coordinating SEND provision, liaising with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure every student receives tailored support.

The successful candidate will have QTS, SEND experience, and a passion for inclusive education, with strong organisational and communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding and continued professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating SEND provision and reporting progress.
• Ability to work with parents, staff, and external agencies.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the provision and support for students with SEND.
• Monitor, track, and report on the progress and development of students with additional needs.
• Liaise with parents/carers to discuss student progress, provision, and support.
• Work closely with teaching staff, support staff, and external professionals to ensure appropriate SEND provision.
• Support the identification of students with additional needs and contribute to appropriate assessments and interventions.
• Ensure SEND policies, procedures, and statutory requirements are effectively implemented.
• Promote inclusive teaching and learning strategies across the school.
• Contribution to extra-curricular activities and after-school clubs.
• Cooperation with colleagues in order to deliver the best possible outcomes.
