Red Kite School in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire, seeks an experienced SENCO to lead and develop SEND provision across the school, champion inclusive practice and drive improvements for pupils with EHCPs and additional needs. Holds QTS and NASENCO or is willing to work towards it.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS and a relevant degree.
• Has NASENCO or is willing to work towards it.
• Experience leading SEND provision within a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, statutory processes and inclusive practice.
• Confident using assessment data to inform provision and drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the school's SEND provision with outstanding support for pupils with EHCPs and additional needs.
• Monitor progress, analyse data and coordinate effective interventions that improve pupil outcomes.
• Chair Annual Reviews and SEND meetings with statutory compliance and high-quality documentation.
• Build strong relationships with families, Local Authorities and external professionals to secure best support for pupils.
• Coach and train staff to deliver inclusive, high-quality teaching and learning.
• Maintain accurate SEND records and oversee assessment and review processes.
• Champion inclusion, safeguarding and wellbeing while contributing to whole-school improvement initiatives.
