Job summary

Coombes Primary School is seeking an experienced SENCO for a 1.0 FTE or 0.8 FTE role. This permanent position leads our SEND provision, aligning with The Keys Academy Trust to secure high-quality support for pupils with additional needs.

You will oversee SEND strategy, mentor colleagues, and ensure safeguarding and quality-first teaching. The role offers a supportive team, flexible working options, and ongoing professional development within the trust.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with a proven record of excellent teaching to meet children's needs academically and socially.
• Hold NPQ SENCO qualification/SENDCo qualification (essential).
• Experience of conducting training and supporting colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead SEND strategy and champion inclusion across the school and Trust.
• Collaborate with SEN team and teaching staff to develop inclusive provision.
• Oversee SEND policy implementation and staff professional development.
