Job summary

Elementa Support Services Ltd in Bath & North East Somerset is seeking an experienced SENCO to lead SEND provision across diverse schools and settings. You will collaborate with senior leaders, teachers, parents and external professionals to ensure high-quality SEND support and compliant processes.

Responsibilities include leading SEND provision, EHCP coordination, annual reviews and monitoring student progress, with a focus on inclusion and effective interventions.

Qualifications

• QTS and NASENCO as required or in progress
• Experience as SENCO or in a leadership role
• Experience in settings including mainstream, SEND and PRUs/alternative provision
• Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, EHCP processes, annual reviews and statutory requirements
• Experience supporting SEMH, ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties and complex needs
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience collaborating with parents/carers, external professionals and local authorities
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Proactive, flexible and solution-focused approach; commitment to inclusion

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate high-quality SEND provision across the setting
• Oversee identification, assessment and support for students with additional needs
• Manage EHCP processes, annual reviews and statutory requirements
• Monitor progress and evaluate SEND provision effectiveness
• Collaborate with staff to develop strategies and interventions
• Provide training and guidance to staff on inclusive practice
• Liaise with parents/carers and external agencies
• Maintain accurate SEND records and documentation
• Support implementation and review of individual support plans
• Promote an inclusive culture where all students can reach potential
• Ensure SEND provision complies with SEND Code of Practice
