Shenley Brook End School is seeking a highly motivated and passionate SEND practitioner to join us as our new SENCO.

The successful candidate will lead our SEND provision, managing our Assistant SENCOs and a large team of teaching assistants, including specialist support staff. They will play a pivotal role in ensuring that students with SEND achieve exceptional outcomes, both academically and personally.

We have established strong whole-school approaches to inclusive and adaptive teaching, and we are looking for a leader who will build on this success, driving continuous improvement in SEND provision. SEND is central to our vision of becoming a fully inclusive school and is supported by a range of specialist teams across the school.

The successful candidate will:

• Build strong, positive relationships with students, families, external agencies and the local authority.
• Be committed to securing excellent progress and outcomes for students with SEND.
• Have experience of working within, and ideally leading, SEND provision.
• Be an outstanding communicator with strong organisational skills.
• Work collaboratively with our pastoral, wellbeing and behaviour teams to ensure students receive effective and holistic support.
