Branston Community Academy is seeking an outstanding SENCo to build on strong foundations and lead its SEN provision with pupil-centred leadership.

The successful candidate will champion inclusion, have SEND experience, and be able to work with the Senior Leadership Team to raise achievement and standards through innovative curriculum delivery and strong team leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working within a SEND environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to lead Teaching and Learning.
  • Middle management experience and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Followingthe progression of our current SENCo to an exciting leadership opportunitybeyond the Academy, we are looking to appoint an outstanding SENCo to build on the strong foundations already in place.

We arelooking for a child-centred, inspiring SENCO who champions inclusion, has theskill and passion to elevate teaching and learning for all, and can lead thestrategic development of our SEN provision, while overseeing its dailyoperation to ensure every learner achieves their very best.

The successfulcandidate will have experience of working within a SEND environment and willideally have a recognised SENCO qualification.They will also have:

  • An ability to demonstrate knowledge of the needs of childrenwith SEN/SEMH and motivate and effectively communicate with those children
  • A record of excellent examination results
  • Successful experience in middle management
  • Creative, innovative ideas to maximise students' potential
  • Team leading skills which enable support and challenge
  • Experience of working with children with a range of SEN
  • Excellent record in Teaching and Learning
  • A strong commitment to raising achievement and standardsalong with an informed and creative approach to curriculum delivery

The successful candidate will work with theSenior Leadership Team.
