Job summary

SENCO - Further Education College in Buckinghamshire is seeking an experienced SENCO to lead the strategic and day‑to‑day delivery of SEND support across the college, ensuring learners with additional needs receive the appropriate provision.

You will lead the SEND / Learning Support team, manage EHCP consultations and reviews, coordinate with local authorities and external agencies, promote inclusive teaching, monitor learner outcomes and oversee SEND funding.

Qualifications

• Experience as a SENCO or SEND leader in a Further Education College.
• Strong knowledge of EHCPs and the SEND Code of Practice.
• Experience working with local authorities and external agencies.
• DfE-approved SENCO qualification (NASENCO) and teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one.

We are looking for an experienced SENCO to lead the strategic and day-to-day delivery of SEND support, ensuring learners with additional needs receive the provision, adjustments and support they need to succeed.

The Role

• Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the FE College

About You

• Strong Further Education College SEND experience

• Strong knowledge of EHCPs and the SEND Code of Practice
• Experience working with local authorities and external agencies
• Experience leading or managing SEND / learning support teams
• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching and reasonable adjustments
• Experience using data to monitor learner outcomes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• DfE-approved SENCO qualification, such as NASENCO
• Teaching qualification, or willingness to obtain one
